Bobbie and Zadie Fly Hanukkah Cheer Across Borders
Kansas City couple Bobbie and Zadie inspire Jewish children worldwide with letters and stories on Hanukkah. Creator Danny Bloom, now in Taiwan, fields thousands of letters from kids in Idaho, Teaneck, Massachusetts and beyond, seeking simple, gentle presence from the grandmother and grandfather figures. Bloom, 56, views the project as cultural connection and hopes for a cartoon or film someday.
