Bethlehem Christmas Marked By Eased Israeli Access
Israel eased roadblock restrictions into Bethlehem for Christmas Eve allowing Palestinians and foreigners to pass more quickly. About 5 000 visitors were expected over two days with 280 Palestinians from Gaza arriving. Palestinian security took over security duties for the city during the holiday and Latin Patriarch Michel Sabbah led a 1 000 person procession through the town.
