Santa Claus performer Mudge keeps life merry across states
Mudge, longtime Southern Bell retiree turned Santa Claus, has played varying roles from a mall Santa in Gainesville Georgia to one near New York and Columbus. He travels December routes, does commercials, and enjoys hosting gatherings in which he sits with children on the floor to ease fear. He plans a London park visit after attending a granddaughter’s wedding and continues carving crucifixes as a hobby.
