In Los Angeles a large group of homeless residents woke to blankets handed out by police and a Santa Claus figure in a Mercedes promising year end gifts. Captain Carley Mitchell funded waterproof blankets, while others delivered cash gifts. In New York Sal Miglio used 2000 dollars to bail seven women and one man from Nassau County Jail and provide toys. Indiana prison inmates raised 1700 dollars to buy 1000 toys for hospitalized children.
