WIPP cleared to resume operations after closure
The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant near Carlsbad New Mexico receives DOE approval to restart underground waste emplacement. DOE notes safety first and plans minor ground control prep for first waste emplacement in early January 2017 including materials from Savannah River Site and dilute and dispose plutonium processing.

Judge moves fraud case to April in Murphy Village racket case
A federal judge rescheduled the 22 defendant racketeering and fraud indictment linked to Murphy Village Irish Travelers from January to the April term.
