City of Aiken suspends Christmas tree recycling this year
The City of Aiken will not hold its annual Christmas tree recycling program this season. City Manager Roger LeDuc said the city does not own a tree chipper and would have to rent one, so trees will not be collected for recycling at city drop-off sites. Residents may leave trees for regular Public Works pickup, and county drop-off locations, of which there are ten, will accept trees for disposal.
