DSS Gives Coats and Toys to Foster Children
The Aiken County DSS distributed coats toys and other items to foster children under the agency care. Supervisor Evelyn Johnson notes many kids lack needed clothing and the program serves about 200 children ordered into foster care for abuse neglect or abandonment. Some are in care due to status offenses including runaways and DSS extends assistance to related public program cases.
