Aiken Depot Saved and Moved to Seed Co Site
Bo Coward of Coward-Corley Seed Co Inc has acquired a 70 foot portion of the old Aiken railroad depot on Park Avenue and moved it across the street to the seed company warehouse. The remaining portion will stay until offices and parking are built, while Southern Railway approved the partial move. Miriam Segrest recalled the depot likely dates from before 1900 and noted its aged condition.
