Red Cross seeks drivers for new ERV in Aiken County

The Aiken County American Red Cross Chapter seeks drivers to operate its newly acquired Emergency Response Vehicle. The ERV, pre positioned in Orlando for the 2006 hurricane season, expands disaster response with mobile command, communications, and mass feeding capacity.

Salvation Army Christmas Aid Brings Gifts to 1300 Kids

Tamara Jones thanks the Salvation Army as 1300 children and 300 seniors in the county receive gifts, food, and certificates at the Belk building in Kalmia Plaza. The drive runs 9 am to 4 pm by appointment with volunteers from Women of Woodside, students, and local sponsors aiding the effort.
