Insurers grant extra time to pay under health law
Insurers say consumers who pick a plan by December 23 now have until January 10 to pay the first month's premium. The move, supported by AHIP, aims to ease enrollment and reduce coverage interruptions as HealthCare.gov and state sites handle new plans under the Affordable Care Act.
