The 1996 estimates from the U S Census Bureau indicate SC population rose 6.1 percent since 1990 to 3.7 million while residents 45 to 64 increased to 21 percent and those 65 and older reached over 12 percent. Racial makeup remained 69 percent white, 30 percent Black, 1 percent Asian.

Oakwood Windsor students feed wildlife on nature trail
