Edwards’ interest grew as Carter-era adviser Atwater weighed qualifications.
Layton and Janet Vick contest their son Paul Vick's unemployment compensation claim after firing him from their West Lake Okoboji business on October 15. A state hearing officer disqualified him, and Job Service of Iowa confirmed the action. The elder Vick says the firing was for his son's attitude and car work on the job, and that no hard feelings remain.
