LaDolcé Cafe Bakery and Tea Room returns at 8 a.m. Wednesday after six months moving to 967 Dougherty Road. Owner Lady Kelly MacVean and daughter Chef Kirstie Wohlfeil anticipate a friendly grand reopening with outdoor seating under a live oak, a private event room for 24, and hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Georgia woman arrested after meth syringe found in Warrenville
Vera Jean Evans 31 of Harlem Georgia was arrested after Aiken County deputies found a syringe full of methamphetamine in her vehicle on Jefferson Davis Highway in Warrenville. She is held on a possession charge. A 21 year old North Augusta man was present during the traffic stop.

Funeral set for Jackson couple Cochran and Baker Cochran
The Jackson couple Louis Baker Cochran 74 and Sandra L Cochran 70 were murdered in their Jackson farmhouse on Dec 5. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Dec 19 at George Funeral Chapel in Aiken with Rev. Al Branson officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
