North Augusta High students host annual Christmas toy drive
North Augusta High School students raised over 7000 in gifts sponsoring 43 kids through the teacher cadet led parade of gifts. Volunteers from classes and clubs collected toys and food for Community Ministry of North Augusta, sharing a strong community service spirit. Senior Murphy Bazemore called it rewarding while Margo Harris and Raynee Spires praised the assembly and the smiling children who will enjoy a special Christmas.

Shooting at Warrenville leaves one dead two injured
A Friday shooting at 158 Railroad St in Warrenville left Cameron Clark 24 of Graniteville dead and Jacob Humphries 27 seriously injured. Police found Clark unresponsive with a chest wound. Humphries was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center. No arrests as of Monday. case under investigation. A 19-year-old female witness and two other women were inside the vehicle during the incident.

USC Aiken seniors rate experience excellent or good
The NSSE survey shows USC Aiken seniors rated their experience as excellent or good by 91 percent and 88 percent would likely return. Chancellor Sandra Jordan said the college uses the data to improve academics, faculty support, and the undergraduate experience as they strive to be the university of choice.

Guardian Angels Program aids Children’s Place youngsters
The Guardian Angels Fund at Children’s Place supports youngsters with winter clothing and developmental toys for the therapeutic preschool. The drive runs Nov 1 to Jan 1 to raise about $50,000, with a current progress around 60 percent. Donations help 200 plus children yearly through clothes, books, and equipment.
