North Augusta man pleads guilty in April shooting case
Alan Michael Bargeron, 25, of Hayes Drive, pled guilty to assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and second-degree burglary, violent, for a Graniteville shooting that injured a 20-year-old man. Judge Dovet A. Early III sentenced him to 12 years, suspended to five, with five years of probation. The incident, believed a drug deal gone bad, involved a gunshot fired through a door at 389 Shotgun Lane on April 1. A witness identified Bargeron from a Facebook connection and he was arrested on April 15 after fleeing the scene.

Extradited N A man charged with child molestation
Jason Arlis Johnson 37 of North Augusta is extradited from Tennessee to Columbia County Georgia on charges including child molestation and aggravated child molestation. The case ties to an Amber Alert for Calah Noel Waskow, taken from Evans December 3 and found with Johnson December 10 in Sevierville Tennessee. Johnson held without bond.
