Three men die after 1969 York race riot convictions
In York Pennsylvania three men convicted in the 1969 race riot killing of Officer Henry Schaad have died within months of each other. Leon F. Wright Stephen Freeland and the third defendant died or were slain after long legal battles that followed a grand jury reexamination. Allen, a riot victim, was also implicated in the unrest.
