The Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons relocates from 135 Lancaster St SW to 254 Beaufort St NE in Aiken after 35 years at the prior site. Executive Director Susan Selden says the move doubles space, improves privacy, and supports higher demand for hospital advocacy and orders of protection. The center plans to hire additional staff in January as services remain crisis care, counseling, case management, and support for orders of protection.
