Quilters Bring Christmas Gifts to Azalea Woods Nursing Facility
The Carolina Pine Quilters Guild delivered lap quilts pillowcases and walker bags to Azalea Woods Nursing Facility on Dupont Drive. Coordinator Carolyn Gibbons and members visited to distribute items door to door with help from the Aiken Woman's Club and Hobby Lobby quilting marathon participants. Teen accused of sexual assault to appear in court
A 14 year old faces family court in Aiken County for criminal sexual conduct first degree with a 9 year old. Police say the teen admitted assaults over about a year and found Internet pornography linked to the behavior. A separate but similar claim involves a 15 year old boy amid ongoing investigations.
