Skywalk over Grand Canyon eyed by Hualapai tribe
The Hualapai Nation in Arizona plans a 4000 foot high glass Skywalk cantilevered 70 feet from the canyon rim. Boasting a 30 million dollar project funded by a Las Vegas businessman, it aims to draw tourists while sparking debate among elders over sacred lands and cultural impact. Construction began 2005 and tickets would share proceeds with Jin, who funds the venture.
