Aiken woman and man face drug trafficking charges
Brianna Shardell Wigfall 20 and Rakeer Rashaud Jackson 19 were charged after an Augusta Road traffic stop in Gloverville. A K-9 alerted narcotics in the vehicle, with a bag under the passenger seat containing meth and prescription drugs. A juvenile was in the car and taken into custody, then released to a family member. Wigfall and Jackson remain in detention as the case proceeds.

Stable owner sues City over flooding at Red Barn Stables
Gina Salatino owner of Red Barn Stables on Orangeburg Street filed a circuit court suit against the City claiming storm and street water management caused repeated flooding of her equestrian facility. She seeks damages and an injunction to require adequate drainage and protect her property from further flooding. The filing notes the City’s infrastructure changes redirected surface water onto her land and calls the flooding a normal recurring event, damaging land use and public health. The City has not yet responded and the Insurance fund has been notified with assigned counsel. City officials say they are preparing a response.

Connor and Jackson Viola, eight year old twins from Aiken, appear in The Sinner on USA Network shot near Charleston. The eight episode series stars Jessica Biel who also executive produced.
