New research at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium suggests tens of thousands of women could safely forgo parts of therapy without significantly lowering survival. Findings include older women skipping radiation after early tumors and limited benefit from surgery in widespread cancer, plus a potential light chemo option.
