Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site hosted Christmas in the Quarters detailing slave holiday life. Living historian Miss Kitty Wilson-Evans portrayed era traditions while park staff described larder meals gifts and work differences between field and house slaves during the holiday season at the 1859 Hammond mansion tour.
