Beers and marijuana found in car with child in Aiken
Police found multiple open beer cans and marijuana in a white Ford Explorer on York Street after a traffic stop for expired tags. Edward Bibbs 43 was charged with unlawful conduct toward a child open container and a bench warrant. A passenger Damian Wright 20 faced warrants and drug paraphernalia possession. Shawna Dixon 46 charged with simple possession.

Local man charged in multiple counts after domestic assault
Derek Heyward Bolin of Idle Drive faces first degree assault and battery, first degree burglary, criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and simple larceny. He remained in Aiken County detention as officers reported a Sunday incident on Deerwood Drive with the victim sustaining injuries. Bolin allegedly dragged her inside, wrestled for her cellphone, and threatened to kill her with scissors before fleeing. He blamed the confrontation on suspicions of infidelity.
