Salley benefit showcases J Lucas Michael Jackson tribute

Aiken native Jimmy Lucas performed a Michael Jackson tribute at the Salley Civic Center to raise funds for MADD. Brock Baxley, an 18 year old Lexington High School student injured in a 2010 DUI crash, spoke about his recovery and faith, urging change and responsibility. Proceeds supported Mothers Against Drunk Driving along with additional donations.

Typhoon Haiyan relief fundraiser raises over six thousand

The Filipino American Association of Greater Aiken hosted a Christmas fundraiser at the Aiken Municipal Building Center that raised more than 6000 for Typhoon Haiyan relief. Aiken Regional Medical Center donated over 1000 to ABS CBN Foundation Sagip Kapamilya.
