Surprises in Advent at St Thaddeus and Local Garden Displays
The Advent sermon by interim rector Ella Breckenridge at St Thaddeus highlighted surprises in nature and life. Features include an unusually thriving angel trumpet from Brazil, a fatsia plant with white blossoms, and local artists like Frank Lustig using fatsia leaves in clay works. The piece also recalls a rainy field trip with kindergartners to a Christmas tree farm in South Carolina, recommending a visit with a child to enjoy the season’s wonder.
