Optimism on Economy Improves Bush's Public Standing
An Associated Press Ipsos poll finds growing economic optimism among Americans lifting views of the nation’s direction and President Bush. Forty four percent express job security comfort up from 35 percent in October, and 50 percent approve Bush’s handling of the economy, up from 45. Definite pro reelection views rise to 41 percent vs 36 percent against, with one in five open to another candidate. A Fort Collins mother says the improving economy makes her more sympathetic to Bush.
