J Emile Harley of Barnwell likely chairs the house judiciary committee and Senator Robinson to head the senate finance committee, with McCaslan of Greenwood reappointed as house ways and means chair. W W Smoak of Colleton is reportedly unopposed for speaker pro tempore while discussions on the tax commission and Governor Richards loom.
