Local lawyer helps NAACP chart future at national summit
Aiken lawyer Kim Anderson Ray attended the NAACP Legal Redress Summit in Baltimore to plan the civil rights group's program for five years. The event gathered NAACP Legal Committee leaders to strategize, share success stories, and boost unit litigation while networking across the country. The Aiken Branch will host a Jan 14, 2007 officer installation with Brigadier General Ronald L. Bailey as guest speaker, and the branch meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Smith-Hazel Recreation Center.
