It is a joint project of BridgeStone Firestone South Carolina Department of Transportation the Aiken County Coroner Office and Tri Development Center of Aiken County. State Uses Tax Line On Forms To Reminder Internet Sales

South Carolina residents are reminded that mail order and online purchases are subject to use tax. The Use Tax line on amended income tax forms clarifies tax due at the same rate as state sales tax. Revenue officials say prior separate forms collected little and that unreported use tax costs about 40 million annually for education funding.
