Seeing Halley Returns to Sky With Fuzzy Glow
Cold air and whirring gears mark the observatory dome as Halley’s Comet reappears after 1910. Visitors witness a dim star in a fuzzy cloud using a 12 inch and then a 24 inch telescope. The tail may form as it nears the sun, best viewed south of the Equator, away from city lights.
