Man charged in arson assault in Aiken County
Dowell Fulmer, 49, of Aiken, is charged with first degree burglary third degree arson and three counts of violation of an order of protection for allegedly assaulting a woman and setting her Gooseneck Road home on fire. He was arrested Sunday night after a tip and is detained in the Aiken County detention center. The Sheriff’s Office aided by a fugitive task force and SLED located the address in Clearwater.

Man Surrenders in Captain D's Robbery Case
John Lyndon Upson, 42, surrendered to Aiken police on Monday and faces robbery with a deadly weapon charges. He was one of two suspects who robbed Captain D's Seafood on Whiskey Road late Wednesday, forcing employees into a freezer and taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
