DOE proposes shutdown of Savannah River Site River Water System

The Department of Energy proposes closing parts of the Savannah River Site River Water System to save about 1 million annually. L-Lake, a 1000 acre reservoir used to cool the L-Reactor, would be placed in standby or closed, reducing habitat for bald eagles.
