Jeneatte Hawes 22 of Augusta is charged with two counts of murder and weapon possession after allegedly stabbing her two young children to death. Her sister Sheranda Jenkins reported Hawes missing in Aiken the day before the killings. Children were 3-year-old Shakayla and 1-year-old Jordon Hawes. Investigators traced Hawes’s movements from Augusta toward South Carolina and noted she withdrew at a Shell station before entering a KFC. Jenkins alerted authorities when Hawes failed to return with the children.
