Veterans Memorial Park near finish after embezzlement recovery
An Aiken County veterans group has recovered about half of a $30,000 shortfall in a $200,000 Veterans Memorial Park project on Richland Avenue East near the Agricultural Services Center. The park, with a black granite memorial listing more than 150 local servicemen killed in conflicts, is due to be completed by November 11.
