Missing Arkansas girl case tied to Blacksburg misreport

Cherokee County deputies say reports last week of a 6 year old Arkansas girl and her alleged abductor in the area were false. The girl seen at a clothing store was the daughter of a Blacksburg couple. the man with her was her uncle. Morgan Nick vanished from an Alma Arkansas ball park June 9 after playing with other children at a sand pile near the field.

Judge Refuses To Stop Statehouse Renovation

A Columbia judge denied a temporary restraining order in a dispute over the Statehouse renovation bid process. Morganti National Inc., based in Danbury, Connecticut, argued bidding irregularities after winning a $43.6 million bid that eclipsed the $33 million budget. State officials called an emergency procurement and proposed 25 changes to cut costs before the Legislature awarded the project to an Alabama contractor at $40.2 million last week.

Bloodhound Team Always On The Go

Fugitives hear cow bells when the Aiken Department of Public Safety Bloodhound Team closes in, a sound meant to rattle suspects.
