Aiken County Schools To Reimpose Teacher Furlough Plan

The Aiken County Board of Education reintroduces furloughs as state budget cuts loom. Teachers and many staff will take five furlough days October through March, while administrators face ten days. Some 181 day staff excluded. District hopes to save about 2.4 million while other budget cuts take effect.
