Aiken Public Safety Receives 75 Bicycle Helmets

Public Safety Officer Boynton announced a five year bike helmet program at the Aiken Department of Public Safety. About 400 helmets have been distributed to county children. Helmets are free with a requirement of three hours of community service at home church or neighborhood.

State faces further budget cuts amid slow growth

COLUMBIA says South Carolina will need up to four years to restore fiscal health as lawmakers warn of another round of hefty budget reductions next year. About $500 million was shaved from this year’s spending, with agencies facing cuts and layoffs.
