Aiken County Dodges Bonnie as Hurricane Passes Way Offshore
Meteorologists at the Savannah River Site Weather Center say Bonnie skirted offshore, bringing only hot dry weather and a light breeze. Hurricane Danielle also looks unlikely to threaten the east coast, with stateside conditions expected to stay in the mid nineties and dry for several days. Meanwhile residents James and Mary Trust relocated from near Myrtle Beach to Aiken seeking relief and shopped downtown after the governor’s announcement.
