Seven year old Mia Walker is recovering in the Intensive Care Unit of the Medical College of Georgia after a rattlesnake bite in her Springfield home. She stepped on the snake while playing with her dog Lily and was evacuated by ambulance due to stormy weather, then airlifted to MCG for treatment with 18 vials of antivenom. Her father Paul Walker reports she remained conscious at times and the medical team may stepping her down from ICU. The incident occurred Sunday evening in South Carolina near rural wooded areas.
