Officer cleared after fatality in Aiken pursuit
Public Safety officials say officer Chris Carter followed procedures in a weekend pursuit on Silver Bluff Road during which 22 year old Brendan Ryan Wilson died after crashing a Jeep into a tree. Wilson, of Gray Mare Hollow Road, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3 30 a m. The 21st fatal crash in Aiken County this year. Carter, with eight years on the force, is cleared to return to the HEAT team.
