Tobacco Prices Down On South Carolina North Carolina Sale

The Associated Press reports tobacco prices fell slightly on Tuesday in the South Carolina Border North Carolina Belt with most losses near $1 per hundred pounds. Some greenish leaf grades and non descriptive leaf declined $2 to $4 from Monday as quality dropped due to a higher share of nondescript material and fewer lugs and cutters.
