Fire at Authentic Mexican Grill in North Augusta Under Investigation
A Mexican restaurant on Atomic Road in North Augusta caught fire around 3 20 a m Tuesday. Deputies spoke with a woman who reported smoke and a car leaving the parking lot. Fire crews found a open back door and extinguisher outside. Cause unknown. investigation ongoing by Aiken County Sheriff Office and North Augusta Fire Department.

Touch an Animal Day at SREL invites kids to meet local wildlife
The ninth annual Touch an Animal Day hosted by the University of Georgia Savannah River Ecology Laboratory offers Augusta area children and families a free hands on program Saturday from 9 am to noon at the SREL Conference Center Windsor. Visitors will meet touch and learn about animals native to the Savannah River Site and surrounding communities. TAAD is free and open to the public.

James Brown Arena May Relocate to Regency Mall Site
The Augusta Richmond County Coliseum Authority voted 4 2 to relocate James Brown Arena from 7th Street to the corner of Gordon Highway and Deans Bridge Road.
