First day of school opens with smooth start in Aiken County
The first day of school across Aiken County began with thousands of students heading to class as principals and staff reported a well organized opening. Redcliffe Elementary welcomed over 1,000 students with many parents present while new leaders Renee Mack Langley-Bath-Clearwater Middle Byron Bowers and Elizabeth Purvis praised planning and cooperation to ensure a trouble free start. North Augusta Middle South Aiken High Wagener-Salley High and others reported good transitions though some late registrations caused minor delays.
