Du Pont Raises Dividend as Net Income Climbs in Q2 1983
Du Pont reported a $1.13 per share dividend for Q2 1983, its strongest result since Q4 1981. Q2 net income reached $271 million, up 10 percent from Q2 1982 and 33 percent from Q1 this year. After tax operating income for chemicals plastics fibers and specialty products rose 54 percent over Q1 and 47 percent over the previous year's Q2, while energy was 17 percent below last year's Q2.
