Four Langley men charged after Piggly Wiggly shoplifting

Four Langley men were charged with shoplifting at Piggly Wiggly in Kalmia Plaza. David and Paul Glover of Langley were charged with shoplifting, Suleman Glover and a juvenile with resisting arrest after four black males were found in the restroom drinking beer from a store cooler. Officers chased two men who ran into the woods behind the Ramada Inn. two others were arrested in the store.

Truck Damaged by Pellet Fire Reported in Clearwater

H. C. McCleandon of Clearwater told the Aiken County Sheriff's Department that his 1940 Dodge truck was vandalized last week. The department report states the truck was shot with a pellet rifle.

North Augusta Man Dies of Natural Causes at Home

Aiken County sheriff officials say 73 year old David Nixon was found Friday evening at his North Augusta residence. He was discovered in a chair near the front door with a gas heater on. Coroner Sue Townsend and Deputy Coroner Ernest Moore ruled the death due to natural causes.
