Sin City sequel dives into the noir abyss

Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez return with Sin City A Dame to Kill For a 3-D sequel that uses a stark black and white digital canvas to stage overlapping tales of crime and revenge in a Los Angeles like midnight. The film packs stylized violence, fetishized female imagery, and sharp face acting while offering little emotional depth or narrative novelty. Two stars out of four.
