Ports Authority reports rising earnings and key projects progress
South Carolina State Ports Authority shows fiscal year revenues over 140 million dollars up 7 percent and earnings near 13 million. Projects include a 1.3 billion capital plan with a 25 million inland port in Greer, a 525 million container terminal at the old Charleston Naval Base, and harbor deepening with a 350 million cost. The Greer inland port opens mid October with three gantry cranes arriving.
