Unemployment Rate Dips in July Across South Carolina
The state ESC reports jobless rate fell from 6.6 percent in June to 6.0 percent in July. Aiken County drops from 7.1 to 6.9 percent while Marion and Marlboro counties top 20 percent. Government job losses totaled about 25,400 with 32,100 nonfarm positions shed. Lexington records 3.2 percent, lowest in state.

Charleston OKs refund plan on 2001 tax cap ruling
