Norris earns national FBLA word processing honor
North Augusta High School senior Jennifer Norris finished 10th nationally in the FBLA word processing event at the Denver conference. She won an engraved glass trophy after a two hour format test and computer scantron, with $500 for first place and smaller prizes for others. Norris plans USC Columbia for college and may pursue elementary education while continuing FBLA competition.

New Ellenton Man Critical After Route Crash
A New Ellenton man, Joyce Foust, 34, remained in critical condition Friday at the Medical College of Georgia after his Nissan Maxima flipped on Sizemore Avenue Thursday night. The wreck occurred near 7:30 p.m. when he over-corrected at the Washington Drive corner and the car rolled onto its top. Foust was alone, suffered head injuries, and a toxicology report will determine alcohol involvement.
