Mr and Mrs Andrew J Combs of Charleston announce the engagement of their daughter Andrea Leigh Combs to John Thomas Patterson son of Mr and Mrs John Macray Patterson. The wedding is set for October 24 at Northwood Assembly in Charleston. Andrea Leigh Combs is a granddaughter of George Schley of Augusta and Dora Combs of Charleston and holds a masters in education from the College of Charleston. Ten Aiken County 4-H youths joined youths from 14 counties at Camp Long for Savannah Valley Junior District Day. In Cloverleaf Division 9 to 12 year olds dominated by Christina Finley in fashion sewing, Ginny Foreman, David Brady, Karen Jones, and Kristina Nomm also earned top honors in their events. Junior Division winners included Mitchell Jones for rifle and Barry Jones for bicycle rodeo.
